sleeping to dream

i worked a lot this week.  i worked hard. i am exhausted. back to school night and general hustling to make things happen in LA kicked my bootay.  i have very few plans this weekend beyond catching up on  my dvr and getting ready to see my friend nikki james perform at musical mondays this coming week.  i’m so grateful she’s in LA for another month because i’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with her!

but my friend sara, had an even crazier week it sounds like.  i’m so behind on catching up on friends’ lives this week that i just finally got to see this.  miley cyrus has the flu or strep throat or something and sara was her standby that’s for sure!  wow.  now that is called professional! i am so proud to be her friend–a friend that can jump in and cover on a dime!  that takes talent.

my dear, dear friend stacey is getting ready for another season as a Radio City Rockette–this year in NYC!  I am so excited for her as well.  and my brother peet is going to be shooting wipeout in a month.  snaps!  hoping for my own excitement soon, but so proud of him!!

right in this moment

I love that the clip below is finally on youtube.

Come back when I do the Radio City Christmas show, I’ll be needing a dancing elf.

This clip always makes me smile and psychs me up for an audition. :)  Me favorite Chenoweth plus hey!  I was a dancing elf.  I have a big next week ahead of me in that realm and a fun weekend down in Portland this weekend!  Today at work, my assistant came down with a cold so I turned my normal routine of 25 handwashes a day (hey, it makes sense when carrying for 13 germs preschoolers) to 50 handwashes and 15 Purell dollops.  Can’t get sick, can’t get sick, can’t get sick.

Also, feel free to follow me on the newest internet craze…Twitter!!!

kick it out

Update #2:  Someone uploaded their full performance from last night on youtube.  Check it out below.  I was so proud, tears filled my eyes and I got goosebumps.  You ladies dazzled.

It starts around the one minute mark.

Update:  They also made an appearance on the Ellen Show.  Work it out.

Original Post:

A little video of my beautiful friends on “Dancing with the Stars” (around 1:30 in this segment).  They are also dancing on tonight’s episode.  Yay Annie and Nicole!  You are fierce! :)  (You can also watch the full episodes online here).

less than an inch deep here

My friends are even funnier than Miley Cyrus’ attempts at hilarity! :)  (OK, at least just as fun!)  Although yes, I would be friends with Hannah Montana. :)

for the love

Okay so yeah, there was a time and a place where I was a Shoshana Bean superfan. I am still definitely a fan of hers–but I must admit that the electricity of having Adam, Correy and Chris pump up the dramz of Sho’s riffing, Louis Vuitton mega-bag carrying, huge sunglasses at night sporting, just giving it vocally, total Broadway diva status was definitely fueling the superfanning. I mean, Radio City and Wicked both had tours in Toronto at the same time, she was staying at our hotel…the superfan status was sky high. And I’m pretty sure most of my gays loved her riffing as much as I did. “Taking it Seriously” gave me my first Broadway mix CD which was then followed by Adam W. who followed that up with a two-CD masterpiece, which has then been followed by another “Taking it Seriously” CD or 2.

The superfanning bordered on madness when at Hilary’s gingerbread making house party I made a Shoshana Bean gumdrop statuette complete with Elphaba costume. A little sketch, yes? Oh well. And then we actually gave it to her! Who does that? Someone with no shame. Me. Ahh! Good thing I’m just a normal fan now. But she did give me a thank-you card the next day–and yes, I saved it.

“that’s drama”…

so i am already falling behind on american idol this year…gosh, i miss like two weeks at my aunt’s and i feel so out of touch with american popular culture! :)  so i was cruising youtube to keep up a little–and besides michael orland, my amazing radio city toronto tour musical director is also the musical director for the show.  so i am pretty much obsessed with telling everyone to watch him.  he’s super talented and a total peach!  watch him work it below with the super spastic (yet fun!) kelly ripa.

Enjoy a few photos from my recent, most-blogged-about trip to Manhattan.

in love…

…with new york city! while i won’t go into too much detail until i get back, i will say, i am head over heels in love with manhattan.  stace is the bestest tour guide, it has been so much fun.  seeing (of course) stacey and then laura, nikki, stefan, eric, liz, matt, ryan, hilary, tyler, and soon dan has been enough to fill my heart with complete and total glee.  this city is beyond amazing.  i love everything so far–my favorites being times square + broadway.  my heart is happy.  i’ll post the full wrap-up sometime after i get back next wednesday.
