never too late

Standard

i’ve never been one to live with mom and dad past 18, but this week of taxes and les schwab tires and buying some new kitchen ware reminded me that i really am a “big girl now”.  even though i live for la vie boheme, sometimes you just have days where you just feel gritty and realistic.  where somehow you realized there was still a little girl dreamer inside of you who never bought something because you figured you’d “put it on your registry” someday, but you’re grown now, it’s time to buy it for yourself.  this wasn’t meant to be pessimistic or idealistic, just a realization that it’s time.

  1. Hi Jen,
I totally get you…there have been so many things that I have thought, Oh, when I get married, I can register for that! Well, at 30, and no prospect for a co-registrant, I have know taken it upon myself to buy the knives, plates, and a vaccuum…sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do! Sometimes I think, I need a guy to do x, y, and z, but when I do it myself with a few girlfriends…I think, hmmm…I guess I can do it! :)
